The tap must be at the OFF position

1. Remove the existing tap aerator by turning it counter-clockwise. (Use the hexnut wrench provided)

2. After aerator is removed, ensure the rubber washer from existing tap is also removed. If the washer is not at the tip of the aerator, it should be inside the water exit of the existing tap.

3. Before installing the adaptor, please check if the tap has the inside (male) or the outside (female) thread. NOTE: Male adaptor type: Insert the rubber washer into the adaptor. Female adaptor type: Do not use the rubber washer. Install Autotaps adaptor by turning its screw clockwise to attach it to your tap (use your ‘thumb’ and ‘index finger’ to tighten it slightly first). Finally secure the adaptor to the tap using the hexnut provided.

CAUTION:
Please be careful of cross-threading, make sure the thread of your tap is perfectly aligned with Autotaps threading before tightening. Hold the adaptor steady with one hand while pulling out the battery compartment with the other to reduce any pressure on the adaptor. Insert new 4XAAA alkaline batteries making sure the batteries are inserted  the right way i.e. positive and negative points

Press and hold the Reset button down for 3 seconds to adjust the sensor range automatically. Turn the tap handle to the ON position and Autotaps is ready to use (ensure the temperature of water is checked before usage)
